Featured Artist - Mark U

If you ran a record label, who be in it? (Only 5) If i ran a label my line up would be, Damian Marley, Camille Wallace, Thembi, Blak Twang out of the UK, then I’d sign Drake, 360 deal him cause he make 150 something thousand a show and collect, nothing to do with whether i think he's good or not, just collection purposes, just kidding, I’d sign any artist that wants to project with integrity, that is talented of course, but wants to work to perfect their craft as well.

Name a artist you would like to work with? An artist that I’d like to work with is Damian Marley, i think we have similar styles musically and we share the same faith in Rastafari so it would make for an interesting collaboration.

What is your purpose in life? My purpose in life, is to follow god and lean not on my own understanding,
use integrity in my discretion and be moral in my decisions, not to stray or be overly philosophical, i want to invigorate a positive energy, and healing peace, not just with my music, but with my everyday living.

Have you ever been in love? I have been in love, i actually fell in love, it ended a year ago, it was a
hard fall, but now I’m standing in it.

Can you Cook? I can cook, being a vegan, having the ability to cook is a necessity or
else you can go hungry quite often or have to order out excessively.

Where is your favorite to eat? My favorite place to eat is restaurant in Miami called Vegetarian Delight,
great food, if your ever in the area you should check it out, it's located on 6060 Miramar pkwy, but when I’m home in NYC, I like to eat at shop in Brooklyn "Strictly Vegetarian".

Quote a song or poem? A song I’ll quote is by my favorite band Midnite, the song is called
"Rastaman Stand”, there based out of  St. Croix Virgin Island, there's a line in the song that says "Playground see saw, tells the story, heavy to the bottom, light weight to the top, illusion made the ugly look like the cream of the crop, they never ran the race but wanted to take the victory lap" This line to me is so profound because it reflects the state of society and what is measure as quality, whether it be in beauty or in any form of Art, but specifically for me music and hip hop in general.
